Ravens 3 Budgies 3
The Bermuda Field Hockey (BFH) season kicked off with a bang at the National Sports Center, where the Women’s League showdown between the Ravens and Budgies erupted into a thrilling 3-3 draw.
The pitch was ablaze with talent, showcasing stars from the Women’s National team, fresh off their recent competition at the same venue.
The Budgies struck first blood in the 8th minute, with Georgia Harris unleashing a dazzling Field Goal. Harris wasn't done, she returned in the 32nd minute, converting a Penalty Corner to double the Budgies' lead.
The Ravens retaliated in the 38th minute with Nicole Lavanagh scoring a Field Goal, narrowing the gap. Rene Gray responded fiercely for the Budgies in the 41st minute, hammering home another Penalty Corner to restore their two-goal advantage.
The match intensified as Megan Troake of the Ravens fired back in the 42nd minute, making it 3 - 2. With just two minutes left on the clock, Chrysda Smith ignited the stadium, equalizing from a Penalty Corner, sealing the game in an epic, edge-of-your-seat 3 - 3 draw.
