Mexico would take the lead in the 10th minute when Dariana Cardiel scored from a Penalty Corner, her third goal of the tournament, the lead was doubled in the 35th minute when Arlette Estrada scored from a \penaltyCorner.
Paraguay would pull a goal back in the 37th minute when Abril Sanabria scored a Field Goal, but the tournament leading scorer Grecia Mendoza scored her fifth goal of the tournament finding the back of the net from a Penalty Corner in the 60th minute.
