The Women’s and Men’s National Volleyball Teams began competing in the US Open Volleyball Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
The women played very well; winning 2 out of 3 matches which placed them second in their pool. This earned them a place in the Gold/Silver Rounds.
Bermuda won their opener against Country Roads Women 25-18, 20-25, 15-13. Bermuda then fell 25-27, 26-24, 15-12 to Beach Please.
Bermuda would then defeat Country Roads Women for a second time 25-18, 25-22.
The Bermuda men came up against some difficult teams. Even though the teams had the same records coming out of pool play; the men placed third due to their win/loss ratio. They then lost their crossover match.
Bermuda defeated LDE 15-25, 25-22, 15-13, Bermuda then fell 25-18, 25-19 to EZ Clapp. Bermuda then fell 25-17, 25-23 to Whambambo.
