Adam Hall and his Winnipeg Goldeyes teammates struck out in their first game of the 2024 campaign.
The baseball club opened the American Association season with a 5 - 3 loss to the Cleburne Railroaders in Texas.
Kasey Kalich earned the win while allowing two runs in 3 1/3 innings of work for the hosts. Colton Eastman picked up the loss for Goldeyes after giving up four runs in five innings.
Eastman was tagged for two home runs — a two-run shot by Brian O’Grady in the second inning and a solo bomb by Carter Aldrete in the fourth — which proved to be the difference.
Hall went 1 for 3 at the Plate, with a Double, scoring 2 Runs, and striking out once.
In the top of the Third, Hall advanced to 1st after being hit by a pitch, Hall advanced to 2nd on a stolen base, before heading to 3rd on a wild pitch. Hall would then come home as Dayson Croes singled up the middle.
In the 8th inning Hall advanced to 2nd with a double to left field, Croes would single up the middle again allowing Hall to come home.
