The Bermuda Volleyball Association’s Junior National Program has another two teams competing in the Nike Boston Volleyball Festival this weekend.
The Paradise Hitters (Girls U18) and the Big Wave Riders (Boys U17) will compete in this three-day, USA Volleyball-sanctioned event, which has 591 teams currently registered. The tournament will take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. For a number of these young people traveling to compete, this will be the last opportunity to compete as a junior athlete in this type of competition. They have worked very hard in the program and after this year will move up to our senior program.
Gary Leblanc Head Coach of the U17 Girls said, "On the heels of our last tournament back in December, in Daytona Beach, we've made some slight adjustments to the team and strategy so we hope to do a better job in Boston. This is our favorite tournament of the year and the team has worked really hard over the last few months to make some improvements. We anticipate that the competition will be very tough but we're ready to do our best and hopefully come away with great results."
