The United States Football League held its Inaugural supplemental draft, adding 10 players to each of the league’s eight teams.
Devwah Whaley was drafted by the Houston Gamblers in the 5th Round.
The teams each have 45 players rostered, and 38 will make the game-day rosters for Week 1, beginning on April 16th when the New Jersey Generals play the Birmingham Stallions.
Whaley who helped to guide the Dresden Monarchs to the German Bowl title in Frankfurt with a 28 – 19 win over the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, will line up in the USA this season.
Whaley and his teammates will begin their season off on the road as they travel to face the Michigan Panthers, on April 17th.
