Action in the Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter league season resumed at the PCC Hockey Rink, with 18 goals scored in a double-header.
BDA Spirits 6 Appleby 5
In the opener BDA Spirits jumped out to a 4 – 2 First period lead and held on to defeat Appleby 6 – 5.
Jordan Gunther scored twice, while Jeff Loper, and Drew Daly added a goal each as BDA Spirits took a 4 – 0 lead, Christopher Jackson scored twice to pull Appleby within two at the end of the Period.
Brandon Willett would put the BDA Spirits up 5 – 2 in the Second Period, but Mark Heintzman, and Chris Cairns scored a goal each for Appleby to pull them within one making the score 5 – 4.
Both teams would score a Third Period goal, with Jackson completing his hat-trick to level the score at 5 – 5, but Willett would score his second goal of the game to make it 6 – 5.
Positive Image Dental 2 Frontier 5
In the nightcap Frontier defeated Positive Image Dental 5 – 2.
Nathan Kowalski scored the lone goal of the First Period to give Frontier a 1 – 0 lead.
Both teams scored two goals in the Second Period with Noah Viera, and Christopher Merritt scoring a goal each for Positive Image Dental, while Tom Duggan, and Joel Neal added a goal each for Frontier.
In the Third Period Duggan added his second goal of the game, and Ross Rufiange added the other for Frontier to claim the victory.
