In a top of the table clash the league leaders Winnipeg jets defeated second place Montreal Canadiens 4 – 2. The Winnipeg Jets would get two goals off the stick of Matt Benson, while Jeremy Estey and Craig Mcneil would add a goal each. The Montreal Canadiens got single strikes from Bill Calko and Anthony Kapsimalis.
Calgary Flames 2 Toronto Maple Leafs 3
In the second game of the night the Toronto Maple Leafs who are in third place edged bottom of the table Calgary Flames 3 – 2. John Matchett, John Duda and Warren Miller all found the net for the Toronto Maple Leafs, while Chris Grantier and Jeffrey Loper scored for the Calgary Flames.
