The Oshawa Generals defeated the Gatineau Olympiques 3 - 2 in the opener, Ed Sweeney gave the Oshawa Generals a 1 - 0 first period lead.
At the end of the second period the score was 3 - 1, the Oshawa Generals got goals from Nathan Kowalski and Andrew Leavy, while Christopher Merritt scored for the Gatineau Olympics.
Troy Dort scored the lone goal in the third period as the Gatineau Olympiques pulled within one, but could not get the equalizer.
Sarnia Sting 6 Tri City Americans 4
In the nightcap the Sarnia Sting defeated the Tri City Americans 6 - 4, the Sarnia Sting got two goals apiece from Adam Mattatall, Christopher Scott and Ryan Sulley, while Josh Bush scored twice for the Tri City Americans, who also got goals from Jacob Amlong and Matthew Benson.
