In Bermuda Ball Hockey Summer League action at the PCC Hockey Rink saw the Paget Pistols defeat the Pembroke Pirates 9 – 8.
At the end of the first period the score was level at 2-2, and then it was 4-4 after 2 periods, the Paget Pistols managed to outscore the Pembroke Pirates 5-4 in the third period.
Nick Curnow led the Paget Pistols to victory with a hat-trick, while Rich Campbell and Cam Poland added 2 goals each, Shannon Gosse and Shawn Behan added 1 goal each.
Brian Flynn scored a hat-trick for the Pembroke Pirates, while Pete Brodsky and Jeff Loper added a goal each, Joel Ferrier scored the other goal.
In the nightcap, the Somerset Snappers defeated the Boaz Island Beer Barons 12-8, Adam Chevis found the back of the net five times to lead the Somerset Snappers to victory, Matt Benson added a hat-trick, while Dan Kirkpatrisk scored twice, Jeff Ingelman and Pat Neal added a goal each. Jeff Clair scored five times for the Boaz Island Beer Barons, with Chris Grantier scoring twice and JM Tremblay scored the other.
