The Bermuda Rugby Football Union’s Season continued at the National Sports Center, with Ladies and Men’s matches taking place
In the first Ladies match, the Mariners defeated the Renegades 5 – 4. The Mariners got 2 Try’s from Amanda Swan and Deneka Borden, while Caroline Aberhart added the other. Rebekah Kasumu scored 2 Try’s for Renegades who also go Try’s from Laura Holdsworth and Orla Halpin.
In the 2nd Ladies match, the Teachers defeated the Police 5 – 4. Gillian Cross led the Teachers to victory with 3 Try’s, while Sherice Bashir and Christine Rickards added a Try each. Isabel van der Westhuizen scored 2 Try’s for the Police, while Mika Tomita and La Reine Prinsloo added a Try each.
The Renegades went with the wind in the First Half of their Men’s Division match against the Mariners and in the end they won easily 37 – 7. Police edged the Teachers 22-17 in the second Men’s game of the day.
The Mariners got a Try from Kamel Eastonn with Rory Dublin kicking the Conversion, while Greg Garside led the Renegades to victory with 2 Try’s, while Neil MacGuiness and Peter Dunkerley added a Try each. Paul Kelly kicked 2 Conversions and he added a Penalty.
The Police got a Try from Ryan Murray, John Stathakis and Guerhardt Lamprecht, with Mike Kane kicking 2 Conversions and they got 1 Penalty from Tommy Edwards. The Teachers got Try’s from David Porter and David McHugh, while Andre Landy kicked 2 Conversions, Landy also added a Penalty,
