BC Rugby hosted the 2017 Vancouver Rugby Festival to compliment the HSBC Canada Sevens Vancouver Tournament.
Bermuda National Sevens Team star, Andre Landy, played in the Vancouver Rugby Festival for Invitational team Fiji Blond.
In their opening game of the Elite Men’s Division the Fiji Blond defeated the BC Rugby Elite Men’s team 19 - 17, they then went down 31 - 10 to the Wolfpack.
Landy and his teammates then defeated Thunder Rugby 7 - 0, before going down 22 - 7 to the UBCOB Ravens.
The Maple Leafs Men was Landy and his teammates next opponents and they defeated the Fiji Blond 31 - 5, but Landy and co. defeated the Stars Rugby Men 27 - 7, to advance to the 5th & 6th Place play-off match.
Fiji Blond took on BC Rugby in the match and recorded a 31 - 7 win to finish the Division in 5th place.
