The BC Sports Hall of Fame class of 2017 has been announced with Bermuda born Rugby player Mark Wyatt inducted.
Wyatt will be part of the 51st induction class who will be formally inducted on April 12th, 2017 at the annual Banquet of Champions at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
Wyatt is currently the President of the Westshore Rugby Club, previously Velox, where he played his club rugby.
Wyatt won 29 caps for Canada and was captain of the 1991 side that reached the World Cup quarter-finals.
A feat never duplicated by a Canadian men's team.
Wyatt was renowned for his kicking skills and kicked 56 Penalties in his 9 year international career.
Added to the 4 drop Goals, 2 Try’s and 23 Conversion's it gave him a total of 234 points in international play - 25 in two World Cups (87-91).
