Former Female Athlete of the Year Lisa Blackburn competed in the 2018 Caribbean Age Group Triathlon Championships.
Blackburn competing in the Sprint Distance clocked a time of 1:01:48, that saw her finish 21st overall, but Blackburn was the 5th female finisher, but more importantly she won the Female 45-49 Age Group Division.
Blackburn was clocked at 5:31 on the Swim, 34:44 on the Bike and 19:08 on the Run.
Following the event Blackburn said, “The weather was brutal with heavy rain and massive wind but we all did it!”
“I was first woman out of the water overall, but I still have lots of work to do on the bike and run,” concluded Blackburn.
