After an outstanding start to her 2017 season culminating with a win at the US Collegiate Triathlon Championships, Erica Hawley moved to Banyoles, Spain (near Girona, to train with her Origin Team, writes Dave Morrison.
Under the watchful eye of her coach Ian O’Brien, founder of Origin, who travelled with the group to Banyoles, Hawley is preparing for a series of of 16-19 Elite races on the European circuit.
Banyoles is a centre of excellence for triathlon in Spain with a facility with multiple pools, a freshwater lake and great challenging riding.
