Shona Palmer finished an impressive 8th out of 61 in her Age Group as she took part in the Zell Am See Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Austria.
Competing in the 45-49 Age Group Palmer recorded a time of 5:56:51. Palmer clocked the fastest 1.9km Swim distance in her Age Group of 29:43, she then recorded a tie of 3:20:44 during the 90km Bike which was the 9th fastest and finally she clocked a time of 1:53:30 for the 21.1km Run which was the 8th fastest time.
Husband Tim Palmer was 83rd out of 179 in the 50-54 Age Group crossing the line in a time of 6:02:35. He clocked 51.06 on the Swim, 3:10:23 on the Bike and 1:47:58 on the Run.
Ian Pilgrim started the race in the 50-54 Age Group knowing he would only complete the Swim and Bike which he did posting a time of 41:59 during the Swim and a 3:15:05 on the Bike.
