Rachel Barnes took to the court in the Women’s Singles, she would face off against the number two seed Ashley Degroot from Guyana, Barnes would fall in three straight games in a battle that took 17 minutes to complete.
Degroot would win 11-2, 11-8, 11-6.
James Dodgson would face Zachary Loquan from Trinidad in his Men’s Singles Consolation Division First Round match falling in 26 minutes, in four matches.
Dodgson, as he did in his previous match, won the first game 11-9, Loquan would level the match at 1 – 1 winning game two 11-4, Loquan took a 2 – 1 lead winning game three 11-1. Loquan then closed out the game winning the fourth game 11-4.
