Bermuda’s Men finished with the Gold Medal when the curtain fell on the CASA (Caribbean Regional Squash Association) Championship in the QPCC (Queen’s Park Cricket Club) Indoor Racquet Centre, Queen’s Park Oval, St Clair, in Trinidad & Tobago.
The Bermuda Men’s team of Micah Franklin, Noah Browne, Kristen Johnson, Patrick Foster and Anthony Fellowes defeated Trinidad & Tobago 3 – 2.
Although the host country won the first two matches in the open final courtesy last year’s Caribbean Under 19 champ Nku Patrick defeated Kristen Johnson 11-9, 11-9, 11-7 and Chayse McQuan defeated Anthony Fellowes 13-11, 11-7, 11-7, Bermuda came back to take the last three and clinch the title.
It started with Patrick Foster defeating Mandela Patrick 13-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-5, and then Micah Franklin drew Bermuda level at 2 – 2 after he defeated Kale Wilson 11-7, 11-8, 11-7
It would come down to the fifth and final game in which Noah Browne defeated Colin Ramasra 11-2, 11-5, 11-6.
