Trott & West Ham Defeat Liverpool

IslandStats.com
Nathan Trott and his West Ham United Under 23 boss Terry Westley praised the goalkeeper and his teammates ability to show their different qualities as they picked up an impressive 1-0 win at league leaders Liverpool.

Josh Pask’s third minute goal was enough to see the visitors take all three points home from Merseyside in Premier League 2 Division 1, although as the Reds pressed in the second half Westley’s team were forced to battle hard to earn the win.

The boss praised his back four in particular, as West Ham United showed their grit and determination to pick up their first victory in five.

Westley said, “The back four; Ben Johnson, Pask, Tunji Akinola and Vashon Neufville and goalkeeper Trott, were very, very good today.

West Ham got a dream start as Pask smashed a shot into the net with his left foot after Liverpool failed to clear Browne's ball in.

Liverpool’s first chance came in the 17th minute, a corner from the left-hand-side is an in swinger, and it fell kindly for Ben Johnson, but the defender up from the back can't get a clean connection on the ball and it's an easy collection for Trott.

Trott and his teammates were able to hold Liverpool at bay for the remained of the game and came away with the win.
