Sincere Hall and his Hull City Under 23 teammates recorded back-to-back victories as they defeated Professional Development League play-off contenders Cardiff City 3-0 in their final home game of the season at the MKM Stadium.
Goals from Will Jarvis, an unnamed trialist and McCauley Snelgrove secured the three points for Hull City, with Cardiff going down to 10-men as Siya Ligendza was shown a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident.
Richard Naylor and Andy Dawson made five changes to the starting XI that defeated Ipswich Town 1-0 last time out. An unnamed trialist started while there were returns to the side for Harvey Cartwright, Alfie Taylor, Louis Beckett and Hall respectively.
Hull City took the lead as Hall played through Jarvis, who curled his strike into the bottom corner after cutting back inside onto his right-foot.
The Hull City trialist doubled the lead after converting Hall’s front-post cross.
In the latter stages of the game, Cardiff looked to pull a goal back as substitute Morgan Wrigley was teed up by Crole, but the forward’s attempt was parried away by Cartwright. Five minutes from time, Hull City secured the victory by scoring a third, with Snelgrove getting on the end of Harry Wallis’ pass to finish at the near post.
