Head Coach Julie Orlowski is optimistic about the season as the Thomas University Women's Soccer team is 10 days into training and just two days away from its first of three scrimmage matches held at the TU Soccer Complex.
The Thomas University Women's Soccer team has newcomers from five countries and four states, including Bermuda, England, Germany, Sweden and the states of Florida, Georgia, Iowa and New Jersey.
Jahzyiah Samuels-Williams has joined the team from the Liverpool Foundation College.
Thomas' 15-game schedule includes eight home matches, five outings against opponents ranked in the 2017 NAIA Postseason Top 25 Poll and four matches against teams that played in the 2017 NAIA National Championship.
Thomas begins the season with a trio of home scrimmages, hosting Valdosta State (Aug. 12th), Albany State (Aug. 17th) and Polk State (Aug. 25th) at the TU Soccer Complex. The Night Hawks open the regular season on the road, facing postseason No. 19 Georgia Gwinnett on Aug. 31st in Lawrenceville, Ga., then traveling to Cochran, Ga., to play Middle Georgia State on Sept. 2nd.
