Nathan Trott and his West Ham United Under 23 teammates began 2018 in emphatic fashion earlier this week against Manchester United, when they were 3-0 winners at Leigh Sports Village.
The victory completed a league double over Manchester United, and the three goals scored added to four Terry Westley's team had bagged against Ricky Sbragia's men earlier in the campaign at London Stadium.
But having enjoyed a lengthy period of time off at Christmas, how will Trott and his teammates cope with their second game of the week, on Friday against Leicester City?
They return to their 2017/18 home - Dagenham and Redbridge's Chigwell Construction Stadium - for the battle against Leicester City on Friday January 12th. They haven't played there since the end of October, when they defeated Manchester City 2-1 thanks to a late Toni Martinez goal.
The side's last home match was postponed, while beforehand, West Ham United had played at both Billericay's AGP Arena and London Stadium in the two fixtures previously. The game kicks-off at 7pm.
