Nathan Trott’s West Ham United Assistant Manager Mark Phillips conceded that the better team managed to qualify for the FA Youth Cup 4th Round as Stoke City defeated West Ham United on penalties.
The Under 18s’ Assistant boss praised his side for responding after conceding two quickfire goals at the start of the second half, but said Stoke deserved to go through based on chances created.
“The first goal was poor from us but they’ll see it as a good goal from their point of view. The second goal was a mistake from us put we responded well to going behind,” said Phillips.
