In the 35th minute Nottingham Forest took the lead, as an unmarked Brereton headed in from eight yards, past Spiegel who was helpless. The striker was unmarked in the box.
West Ham were level in the 43rd minute, Marcus Browne, drove into plenty of space ahead of him, striking one from 25 yards, and with the aid of a deflection off Jahmal Hector-Ingram, it wrong-footed the keeper and flew into the back of the net.
In the 61st minute, Parfitt-Williams came on for Diangana, who had taken a knock, with four minutes remaining West Ham scored again and it was Browne yet again, he slotted home a rebound after Domingos Quina's initial shot was saved.
It's two out of two in the Premier League Cup in Group E for West Ham United.
