The Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation has renamed The Center on Angle Street - The Sammy Wilson Central Zone Community Center and named of the gym to The Clarence Hill Multi-Purpose Gymnasium.
Government and opposition MP’s were in attendance as was family and friends as the moment came to honor two men who have made a considerable contribution to Sports in Bermuda through the Center.
Wilson’s wife thanked everyone who was involved in making this a reality say, “I am glad I am here to witness this.”
Following the unveiling of his plaque, Hill was presented a cheque of $10,000.00 by the Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports, Lovitta Foggo.
