Bermuda Olympian Patrick Singleton is looking to run for the position of Vice President responsible for Communication of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton and Federation (IBSF) next month.
Singleton will be up against four other candidates for the position at a Congress due to take place in Rome on June 27th.
The current post holder Russia’s Georgy Bedzhamov has not been active in his role since being charged with an illegal withdrawal of bank assets worth $3.8 billion by a Moscow Court.
The co-owner of Vneshprombank fled Russia in 2016 and sought refuge in Monaco.
The candidates are standing to replace him includes another Russian, Sergey Parkhomenko, as well as Bob Storey, Poland’s Przemyslaw Piesiewicz, Bermuda’s Singleton and The Netherlands’ Peter van Wees.
