Djair Parfitt-Williams started, while Nathan Trott was on the bench as West Ham United’s Premier League 2 team went down to Brighton and Hove Albion in their final Group E game in the Premier League Cup.
West Ham had already qualified for the knockout rounds but a win would have seen them finish top ahead of today's opponents.
In the 43rd minute, Parfitt-Williams came close to finding the back of the net, Parfitt-Williams looked set to score from eight yards, but Ben White put in an excellent last ditch sliding challenge to deny him.
The 59th minute saw Parfitt-Williams get his first effort on goal, Parfitt-Williams, who scored against Brighton and Hove Albion at Dagenham earlier this season, chipped his shot that sails over and wide, though. It hasn't been the Hammers' afternoon so far.
Parfitt-Williams was substituted in the 73rd minute he was replaced by Jahmal Hector-Ingram.
