Minister of Sports Ernest Peets met with members of the Bermuda team going to the Commonwealth Games.
On the island currently is the Chef-de-Mission Donna Raynor, Swimmers Emma, and Jack Harvey, Cyclist Caitlin Conyers, and Tiara DeRosa from Athletics were at the National Sports Center Pool area to meet with the Minister.
The Minister who is not making the trip to Birmingham wanted to wish those members of the team who were on the island all the best before departing.
The Commonwealth Games 2022 will take place in Birmingham with the Opening Ceremony scheduled for July 28th, while the closing ceremony will happen on August 8th.
Swimmer Emma Harvey said, “I could not be more honored to be representing Bermuda amidst a group of such talented athletes. This is a phenomenal opportunity, and I am incredibly excited to compete and support the rest of the team.”
