Just under $50,000 will be handed out to National Sports Governing Bodies for the development of their Athletes as the awards are hosted by the Department of Youth, Sports and Recreation.
Minister of Sports Dr. Ernest Peets, and the Director of Sports Norbert Simons are both in attendance.
Trey Mallory was the first recipient of the Flora Duffy Award, an award designed to assist athletes between the age of 19 – 23 was worth $10,000.00.
