Evans Falls Two Places in Hungary

Jonathan Lobert has taken the lead at the Opel Finn Gold Cup at Balatonföldvár, Hungary on the second day of racing.

www.islandstats.com brought you the results of the first day late yesterday and now that racing is over on Day Two we bring you today’s update early.

Though Lobert led both races at some point, the tricky Balaton breeze got the better of him twice and the race wins went to Edward Wright and Max Salminen. Salminen is now in second with Facundo Olezza third.

Lobert has a total of 27 points, with Salminen on 31 points and Olezza on 37 points.

A total of 117 sailors including Bermuda’s Rockal Evans took to the waters of Hungary.

Evans started the day in 66th overall, with 131 points, he came off the water on Day Two in 68th place with 254 points, this after finishes of 58th in the first race of the day and the third of the series and 67th in the second race.
