Bermuda’s Under 17 Women’s National Football Team arrived back at the LF Wade International Airport to a Hero’s Welcome after competing in the CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s Qualifiers in St Lucia.
The team was greeted by the Premier David Burt and members of the Government including Lovitta Foggo the acting Minister of Sports as well as Family, friends, Bermuda Football Association officials and yes the Gombeys.
The Bermuda team went through the group as predicted by their coach Naquita Robinson undefeated.
Robinsons said, “Parents, thank you so much because this was probably the easiest tour we've ever had, these girls are well-mannered, they carried themselves with dignity, with pride, whether on or off the field. We have to continue to support them, right now they will have a few days off, but then it is time to prepare for Haiti.”
