The Queens Baton was greeted fondly in the East End on the first full day of activity, as Tre Houston took time out to hold the Baton that contains the Queens message he is hoping to hear at the Opening Ceremony in Australia.
The Baton moved to the St. Peters Church, were officials were greeted and given a tour and a history lesson.
The Baton made it way to Fort St. Catherine Beach were a group of youngster from a Government Camp performed a beach Relay with the Baton.
Members of the travelling party then made their way up to the National Sports Center were an all Girls Sports Expo was taking place and the young ladies looked excited as they handled and looked at the Baton.
The final activity on Day One was to head to Government House for an official welcome.
