Bermuda English Professional Footballers Round Up

Wells Showing Frustration

NAHKI WELLS

Nottingham Forest triumphed 2-0 to claim their first win under Mark Warburton and eased their relegation fears - but put a dent in Nahki Wells and his Huddersfield teammates already floundering automatic promotion hopes.

A close range finish from Eric Lichaj in the 32nd minute and a fine solo effort from Jamie Ward 12 minutes into the second half lifted Forest five points clear of the bottom three in the Championship, on an afternoon when they might have won by a bigger margin.

RAI SIMONS

Rai Simons’ teammate Joe Rowley scored his first goal to give Chesterfield a 1-0 victory over Port Vale that keeps their slender Sky Bet League One survival hopes alive for another week.

The 17-year-old pounced in the second half to leave Chesterfield nine points from safety with four games remaining and condemn Vale to another pointless away day that leaves them in danger of going down. Simons came off the bench in the 55th minute.

REGGIE LAMBE

Jon Stead and Matt Tootle struck inside the final five minutes as Notts County snatched a 2-1 win over Reggie Lambe and his Sky Bet League Two play-off hopefuls Carlisle united teammates.

Carlisle remain in the final play-off spot, after Blackpool's defeat at home to Grimsby, but looked on course for victory when Jabo Ibehre struck just before the hour mark only for Notts County to hit back in the closing stages.
