A newly formed Bermuda International Football Festival has devised a community initiative to reach the island’s young men with a view to providing opportunities for those on the right track and reach those young men at risk of falling through the cracks.
Rick Richardson spokesman for the Group said, “The group will stage the first Bermuda International Football Festival on April 29th, at the National Sports Center.
The day will see a All-Star match involving the island’s Premier League and First Division players.
Shaun Goater along with Clyde Best and David Bascome are all involved in the venture with Goater stating he is working on getting former players to come to Bermuda.
Goater said, “Presently I have had conversations with John Barnes, Dwight York, Andy Cole, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler.”
