Nahki Wells is considered a target for Aston Villa in the Transfer Window.
The Huddersfield Town striker would arrive at the perfect time as top-scorer Jonathan Kodjia heads off to AFCON.
Wells has scored seven goals this season, including the winner in Huddersfield’s last game against Wigan.
The 26-year-old has played for the Terriers since 2014 after signing from Bradford for an estimated £1.3 million.
It was reported the striker turned down a contract in November even though he could’ve become the club’s highest earner.
Wells has been given an £8 million transfer estimation by the club but it’s unclear whether Steve Bruce would be willing to spend so much. Villa chairman Tony Xia had recently said that Bruce would be given funds to spend in January despite the huge amount the club forked out in the summer. Villa broke the Championship transfer record to bring in Ross McCormack for £12 million.
