Winners Edge hosted the first Bermuda Bicycle Association (BBA) Road Race of the season, with ideal conditions and a strong turnout of 53 riders across all categories. The race had to be rerouted due to road works around Tommy Fox Road, but all categories were able to complete their race without incident.
A and B riders started together, with five laps to complete, while C riders and women started with a three-lap race.
Dominique Mayho proved too strong for the A Division riders as he clocked a time of 2:02:54, Jackson Langley was second clocking 2:03:23 and to make it a 1, 2, and 3 podium for VT Construction-Madison Cameron Morris finished third with a time of 2:04:15.
Che'quan Richardson clocked a winning time of 2:04:27 in the B Division representing Bicycle Works, BRCC rider Wouter Aarts was second in 2:04:27, and Independent rider Kavin Smith finished third clocking 2:04:27.
In the C Division, Winners Edge rider Anthony Smith clocked a winning time of 1:18:10, Bicycle Works rider Jacob Wright was second clocking 1:18:11 0.19, and Peter Dunne finished third with a time of 1:18:11 0.592 representing Bermuda Junior Cycling.
The Women’s Division saw an exciting finish as Winners Edge rider Annabelle Miller clocked a winning time of 1:22:52, Bicycle Works rider Panzy Olander was second in 1:22:52 0.188, and VT Construction-Madison rider Ashley Couper was third in 1:22:53.
