For the 2019-2020 season this would be arguably, the best race course, with the largest field of racers, as the Bermuda Bicycle Associationís Fat Tire Massive Mountain Bike Season resumed on the Southlands Property.
Under far clearer skies 92 Mountain Bike enthusiasts ran the full range of MTB disciplines. Southlands saw a few new trails cleared or refined and apologies for the stair ramp that worked perfectly up till this morning!
In the Open 60 Class, the traditional lead out of teenagers closely shadowed by Dennis Fagundo headed the field. When the mud stopped flying, Alexander Miller dominated from beginning to end, clocking a 7 lap time of 1:08:07.106, Currie finished second in a time of 1:01:29.929 covering 6 laps and Alan Potts finished third in a 6 lap time of 1:03:06.899.
