Rebecca Heyliger and her University of Southern California (USC) Women's Swimming and Diving teammates defeated Oregon State in a Pac-12 dual meet in Corvallis, Ore.
The University of Southern California improved to 2-0 overall, 2-0 in the Pac-12 with a 153-107 dual meet win over Oregon State.
University of Southern California opened with a first in the Women’s 200 Yard Medley Relay as sophomores Diana Chang and Jamie Christy and seniors Andrea Kropp and Heyliger won in 1:45.33.
After an Oregon State win in the Women’s 1000 Yard Freestyle, junior Joanna Stenkvist won the Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle in 1:53.55 while Chang 55.94 sophomore Sidney Cooke 56.73 went 1-2 in the Women’s 100 Yard Backstroke.
Kropp 1:02.97 and Christy 1:04.96 went 1-2 in the Women’s 100 Yard Breaststroke and sophomore Maggie D'Innocenzo won the Women’s 200 Yard Butterfly touching the wall in a time of 2:03.34.
University of Southern California swept the sprints as Heylinger, a co-captain, claimed the Women’s 50 Yard Freestyle in 24.22 for her First Individual Event win of her career and Chang won the Women’s 100 Yard Freestyle in 51.42.
The University of Southern California closed the meet with a win in the Women’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay as Stenkvist, Chang, Heyliger and Cooke won in 3:32.24.
