Daley Breaks Bermuda Open Record in Korea

The 18th FINA World Championships 2019 are underway in Gwangju, Republic of Korea.

Elan Daley was the first Bermuda Athlete to take to the Pool, she would compete in the Women’s 200m Freestyle.

Daley finished second in Heat 3 with a time of 2:05.47, her time breaks her Girls 14 Age Group Record time of 2:10.26 she set back on April 1st, 2018 during the XXXIII Carifta Swimming Championships in Kingston, Jamaica.

The fourteen year old’s time also broke the Bermuda Open Record time of 2:06.70 set by Kiera Aitken set back on April 1st 2011 during the XII CTO. ESPAÑA "OPEN".

After the first three heats Daley was 2nd overall, she would finish 38th overall after the Six heats were completed.
