Twenty-Three Year Old Record Broken in BASA Meet

A 23-year-old record was broken during the 2017 BASA Winter Swim Meet at the BASA Pool.

During the 13-14 Boys 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, Keagan Woolley touched the wall in a time of 32.45 breaking Trevor Nelson’s record time of 33.03 set back on November 1st 1994. Sam Williamson also went faster than the previous record time but had to settle for second clocking 32.69 and Finn Moseley finished third with a time of 43.31.

Jesse Washington won the Men 15 & Over 100 SC Meter Freestyle clocking a time of 54.25, Joshua Thorne was second with a time of 1:01.95 and Ross Cooper finished third after stopping the clock in 1:03.86.

During the 13-14 Girls 200 SC Meter Freestyle, Gabriela Pitman clocked a winning time of 2:19.44, Tayla Horan was second in 2:31.99 and Ashley Moore finished third clocking 2:45.92.

Katie Stevenson won the 11-12 Girls 100 SC Meter IM touching the wall in a time of 1:23.88, Hailey Moss was second in 1:42.67 and Zoe Hasselkuss finished third clocking 1:43.67.
