Former Bermuda Carifta Swimmer Emma Harvey who now represents Scotland has been chosen to represent the Somerset team for British National County Team Championships 2017.
Harvey who attends Millfield Academy has been selected to represent Somerset in Division 1 of the National County Team Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on October 8th 2017.
Harvey recently represented Scotland at the Youth Commonwealth Games, were she met up with former Carifta teammates Jesse Washington and Madelyn Moore.
Harvey won Scotland’s first Medal at the Games taking Bronze, in the Women’s 50m Butterfly.
Harvey splits her time between Bermuda and the UK.
Harvey has an impressive track record of success on both sides of the Atlantic.
A fantastic performance at the 2016 CARIFTA Swimming Championships in Martinique saw her win Eight Medals, Five of them Gold, a performance she followed up in 2017 with Five Medals at the Scottish Age Group Championships, Silver at the British Junior Championships and Gold at the Edinburgh International Swim Meet.
Harvey holds the Scottish Age 13 Records for 50m Butterfly over both Short and Long Course and also holds the Bermudian 100m Butterfly Record.
