Bermuda Win More Medals at CCCAN

Elan Daley Broke a 20 Year Old CCCAN Record

Bermuda Swimming has a team of 16 young swimmers participating in the 30th installment of CCCAN. There are 21 countries from the Caribbean, Central America and South America competing at the Championships, Bermuda picked up another 11 Medals.

Elan Daley broke a 20 year old CCCAN 11-12 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle record when she clocked a winning time of 59.65, breaking Vanessa Garcia’s record of 1:00.05 set back on July 1st 1997, Payton Zelkin won the Bronze Medal with a time of 1:00.56.

Daley also won the 11-12 Girls 200 LC Meter IM Gold Medal touching the wall in a time of 2:29.27, while Zelkin won the Silver Medal with a time of 2:30.36.

Sam Williamson won the Silver Medal competing in the 11-12 Boys 200 LC Meter IM with a time of 2:23.87.

Zelkin won the 11-12 Girls 50 LC Meter Breaststroke Silver Medal with a time of 35.92, while Daley won the Bronze Medal with a time of 36.02.

Williamson captured the Gold Medal in the 11-12 Boys 50 LC Meter Breaststroke with a time of 32.60, he would then capture the 11-12 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle Gold Medal with a time of 58.20.

Jessie Washington’s time of 51.70 during the 15-17 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle saw him pick up the Silver Medal and Logan Watson-Brown closed out the Medal count for the day when she won the 13-14 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle Bronze Medal with a time of 59.72.
