On Saturday April 15th, “Ace Girls Bermuda” will be hosting a girls only swimming clinic featuring Pan American Games silver medalist and Masters World Record holder Lisa Blackburn, with Olympic diver Katura Horton-Perinchief to be a special guest.
The event poster said, “Learn champion swimming techniques from professional swimmer and certified coach, Lisa Blackburn. In-water instruction for all strokes will be provided with special attention focused on breaststroke technique, starts and turns.
“Special Guest, Katura Horton-Perinchief will host an interactive discussion and share tips on goal setting, peak performance, training, confidence building and Q & A. Please bring your questions.
“Participants must be registered with the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association (BASA). Participants must be able to swim on their own with previous swim lesson/swim club experience required. Ages: 10 to 16 only.
“Minimum of eight and a maximum of 16 participants required to host clinic. Fee includes: world class swimming instruction and discussions from two of Bermuda’s best female athletes. An amazing goodie bag is included.
“A skills checklist for all swim strokes, signed autograph cards and photo opportunities also provided. Part of the funds raised will go towards providing girls with the opportunity to attend 3 days of Star Diving Camp this summer.”
