Former Female Athlete of the Year Lisa Blackburn competed in the 2017 Ontario Masters Short Course Swimming Championships in Toronto Ontario at the Markham Pan Am Games Pool, where she broke the Women’s 44-49 Age Group USA Masters Swimming American Records in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke.
Blackburn also broke the Masters World Record in the 100 Freestyle.
During the 100m Freestyle Blackburn touched the wall in a time of 58.24 breaking Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen 10 year old World Record of 58.61.
During the 100m Breaststroke Blackburn clocked a winning time of 1:12.93, Blackburn also won the 200m Individual Medley touching the wall in a time of 2:27.54.
Blackburn’s winning ways continued as she won the 50m Freestyle with a time of 28.43, she also won the 200m Breaststroke clocking a time of 2:42.14.
