Emma Harvey and Madelyn Moore competed in the Edinburgh International Long course Meet in Scotland at the weekend in a combination of Youth (under 18) and Open events.
On Day One Harvey and Moore competed in the 100 metre Backstroke with Moore finishing in a time of 1.08.38 and Harvey progressing to the youth final with a time of 1.05.85. Harvey would then go on to finish 5th in the Final with a time of 1.05.11. Both girls competed in the 50 Free with Moore swimming a time of 27.06 in the open event and Harvey swimming in the youth event swimming a time of 27.30 to progress to finals where she would swim 27.13 to finish 4th.
On Day Two Harvey progressed to the Open A Final in the 50 Backstroke after a swim off, to go on to touch the wall in a time of 30.12 in 8th place. Moore touched the wall in a time of 31.15 in the Preliminaries. Harvey took the pool later that day to swim the 100 Butterfly in a time of 1.03.92 in the 100 Butterfly open category.
On the last day of competition, Moore and Harvey took part in the 50 Butterfly open event with Moore swimming a time of 29.51 and Harvey touching the wall in 28.62. Both girls then swam the 100 free with Moore swimming 59.95 and Harvey progressing to the youth finals with a time of 58.87. Harvey then went on to win the youth final in a time of 58.05.
