Ethan Daley has broken a that has stood since April 7th 2007, while competing in the MAC Winter Long Course Invitational at the Markham Aquatic Club in Ontario.
Daley broke the record previously held by Bermuda Olympian Julian Fletcher when he clocked a time of 2:44.38 during the 15-16 Boy’s 200m Breaststroke Preliminaries, breaking Fletcher’s record time of 2:44.99 set during that years XXII Carifta Swimming Championships in Kingston, Jamaica. Daley during the Finals of the 200m Breaststroke recorded a second record breaking performance when he was clocked at 2:41.06, taking just under 3 seconds off the record he set earlier in the Meet.
Daley finished 34th in the Men’s 50m Freestyle touching the wall in a time of 26.70, he then recorded a 1500m Freestyle time of 17:52.34 which saw him finish 22nd.
Clocking a time of 2:29.82 saw Daley finish 37th overall in the 200m Backstroke, Daley finished 21st while competing in the 100m Butterfly with a time of 1:02.79.
Daley finished 22nd competing in the 200m Individual Medley with a time of 2:21.44, he then finished 26th in the 400m Individual Medley stopping the clock in a time of 5:08.49.
