Four swimmers from Bermuda Brian Desmond, Keagan Woolley, Gabriella Pitman and Skyler Powell are taking part in the 2017 Ontario Launch into Long Course at the Pan American Games Pool in Ontario, Canada.
On Day Two of the three day event, all four took to the Pool and Medals were won and Two Bermuda Records were Broken.
Powell won the 13-14 Girls 400 LC Meter Freestyle Silver Medal touching the wall with a Personal Best time of 4:45.43, breaking Emma Harvey’s record of 4:46.38 set back on June 27th 2015 at the Scottish National Open Championships.
Desmond won the 13-14 Boys 400 LC Meter Freestyle Gold Medal with a Personal Best time of 4:35.96. Desmond also picked up a Silver Medal when he finished second during the 13-14 Boys 50 LC Meter Backstroke Final with a Personal Best time of 32.32.
During the 13-14 Boys 50 LC Meter Breaststroke A - Final, Woolley won the Silver Medal with a time of 35.40.
Desmond won the Silver Medal during the 13-14 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle A - Final with a time of 59.30, while Woolley won the Bronze Medal with a Personal Best time of 59.40.
Woolley won the 13-14 Boys 200 LC Meter Breaststroke A - Final Gold Medal with a Personal Best time of 2:49.35.
During the 13-14 Girls 50 LC Meter Backstroke A - Final, Pitman finished 4th with a Personal Best time of 35.62, while Powell finished 4th in the 13-14 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle A - Final with a Personal Best time of 1:02.77, while Pitman finished 7th with a time of 1:03.52.
During the 13-14 Boys 50 LC Meter Breaststroke Preliminaries Woolley set a New Bermuda Record with a time of 34.24, breaking Ethan Daley’s time of 34.27 set back on May 22nd 2016 during the Validus Bermuda National Championships
