The 59th English Schools Swimming Association National Relay Championships 2016 at the London Aquatics Centre saw Madelyn Moore and her Plymouth Leander College teammates retain their place as one of the country’s ‘big two’ as far as English schools swimming is concerned.
One of only two schools to break a National Record and one of only three schools to bring home a Gold, Plymouth Leander College were headed by Millfield School but well clear of both Latymer School (third on the medal table) and Mount Kelly (fourth).
In truly dominant style, the Plymouth Leander Senior Female 200m Freestyle Relay were to take a English Schools Record, originally set in 2014.
Isobel Wild, Moore, Laura Stephens and Felicity Passon secured the Record and the Gold with a time of 1:45.37.
