Nederland's Austin Krautz scored five touchdowns to help them overcome a 13-7 halftime deficit to defeat Devwah Whaley and his Central teammates 35-20 and extend their winning streak over Central to five games dating back to 2011.
Central running back Whaley finished the night with 24 carries for 109 yards, but was denied the end zone for the first time in district.
Leading into the game running back Devwah Whaley said, "This is a big deal for us we've never beaten them since I've been here. We were a yard shot in last year's game and that has motivated me to be stronger and better this time around."
