Devwah Whaley and his Arkansas teammates moved into the No. 24 spot in both the Associated Press top 25 poll and the Amway Coaches poll released on Sunday.
Arkansas became just the second Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) team to pick up a top 25 road win this season when they used double-overtime to defeat former Southwest Conference rival and Big XII member No. 15/12 TCU by a 41-38 margin Saturday night in Fort Worth.
The win snapped TCU’s 14-game win streak at home, which was the third-longest in the nation.
Arkansas has opened the season with a record of 2 & 0.
Ranked for the first time since the second week of 2015, Arkansas is one of eight SEC teams in the coaches poll as it prepares for next week’s non-conference showdown with Texas State at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
